Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any additional costs?
We provide everything that you need for fishing. We have the necessary licenses. You do not have to have a separate license.
Do we leave a tip?
Yes, the mates work for their tips. They set up the lines for fishing and filet the fish at the end of the trip for you to take home. The customary tip is 20 to 30 percent.
Do you have food and drink on the boat?
No, bring whatever you’d like to eat and drink in a cooler. Beer and wine are fine, but we ask that you do not bring any glass. Also, no bananas. The captain does not allow bananas on the boat. It is very bad luck for fishing!
Can we bring more than 6 people? Are children and babies included in the six passenger limit?
We can only take six people on board, plus the mate and the captain, no matter what age. There are no exceptions.
We have over 6 people. Do you have more than boat available?
Yes, we can easily set up multi-boat charters. Just call us at 508-746-6749 and we will set something up for you!
What should we wear?
Even if it is a warm day, make sure to dress in layers. It is often much colder offshore than it is on land. Bring sunscreen and sunglasses. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
Do we get to keep the fish?
Yes, you can keep all of the fish, but there are exceptions for bluefin tuna. Any legal size tuna under 73″ goes to the customer, any tuna over 73″ becomes property of the boat to sell.
Are custom trips available?
Yes, we can set up combination trips for you, and we can also accommodate custom times, as long as you book a full day. Call us at 508-746-6749 with any questions!
